The Model Railway
The train is leaving the station!
One of the largest HO scale model railways in Australia. It features railway lines between One Steel in Whyalla and iron mines in Iron Knob, a link Whyalla to Port Augusta, and Port Augusta to Adelaide. The trains include iron ore trains, cargo trains, Indian Pacific, The Ghan and grain trains. The total length of the track is 226 m with 28 points, 12 point motors and 500 m of double core cable with 26 relays. The landscape reflects both semi arid conditions around Whyalla and green fields with rolling hills at South Australia’s mid north.
